Secretary General
Mitchell Silva-Dennis founded the MeDMUN organization in 2014 and served as Secretary General from 2014 until 2020, after which he served as a Secretariat member, helping organize MeDMUN VII and VIII. Starting in 2022, Mitchell became Secretary General once more. He is excited to lead the organization and cannot wait to offer a new and innovative committee experience to novice and expert delegates alike.
Undersecretary General of the General Assemblies
Taylor Zerilli is extremely excited to serve as the Undersecretary General of the General Assemblies. She attended Wayne State University and received a BA in Global Studies and is currently pursuing a J.D. at Wayne State University Law School with hopes of practicing Family and Immigration Law. Taylor has moderated General Assemblies, the Security Council, and Crisis during her 5 years with MedMUN and is excited to take on her new role as Under Secretary General in 2023. In high school, Taylor served on her Model UN’s Executive Board for one year and was Secretary General for her team her senior year. When she's not preparing for Model UN or class, Taylor enjoys reading, playing video games, and cuddling with her cat Jojo.
Undersecretary General of Crisis
Nat Leach has always enjoyed being a delegate in crisis committees and is honored to bring their experience and ideas to MeDMUN. They are currently a second-year student at the University of Michigan studying sociology and psychology with a focus on understanding how online interactions influence the real world. When not engaged with Model UN or schoolwork they are active in labor organizing on campus, including spearheading the recent campaign for a $15 student minimum wage; or playing in an Overwatch match as Ana or Mercy, too.
