After participating in MeDMUN I and II as a delegate, Julia decided to join the MeDMUN III staff as a moderator for the Ad-Hoc committee. Undersecretary General of the Regional Bodies
Sydney is thrilled to serve as the USG for the Regional Bodies! She is studying at the University of Michigan with majors in History and Psychology and a minor in Political Science. MeDMUN V will be her fourth time participating in MeDMUN but her first time on Secretariat! Model UN is a huge part of her life, and in addition to MeDMUN, she staffs CASC, MAMUN, and MUNUM (so if you see her at another conference, feel free to say hi!). Creating an inclusive conference that allows delegates to learn and be exposed to different perspectives is very important to Sydney, and preparing for these conferences is incredibly meaningful for her. When she isn’t studying or preparing for a conference, she enjoys listening to music and attending concerts, reading, and looking at pictures of her cats.
Undersecretary General of the Specialized Agencies
Jordan Phillips is immensely excited to serve as the Undersecretary of the Specialized Agencies for MeDMUN IV. Jordan has been involved with MeDMUN since the first MeDMUN conference where she was a delegate working to solve the Israeli-Palestine conflict and advocate for women's rights. She is currently attending Wayne State University where she is working towards a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education. She hopes to one day be half as great as the mentors she had throughout her Model UN experience. Jordan strives to help all students have an excellent learning experience through Model UN and, if given the opportunity, she will talk about the endless list of personal and academic benefits of being a delegate. Jordan spends a large amount of her time playing with her dogs and taking perfect pictures of them to share on social media. When she's not with her furry friends, you can probably find her binge-watching Netflix, reading, or working as your local barista. Jordan is looking forward to working towards building a strong and enjoyable Model UN experience for all in the coming conference.
