Mitchell Dennis is the Secretary General for the MeDMUN IV Conference. He is currently attending the University of Chicago, where he is majoring in Global Studies and Romance Languages and Literatures. Mitchell is excited to offer delegates another exciting opportunity to discuss pressing world issues. At UChicago, Mitchell enjoys participating in Model United Nations and Amnesty International, but also enjoys spending copious amounts of time brushing his teeth and listening to sad music. Mitchell ranks the reunion of Destiny's Child at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show as one of his defining, and most important, life moments. Mitchell believes, as a former Walled Lake Western delegate, a moderator at the MUNUC XXVII, and a chair at MUNUC XXVIII, XXIX, and MUNUC-Beijing-WEMUN EXPO 2016, he has excellent experience to make MeDMUN IV a better, more educational experience for all delegates.
Undersecretary General of the Regional Bodies
Julia Iaquinto is super excited and honored to be the Undersecretary General of Regional Bodies! She attends the University of Michigan where she studies political science (specifically international relations) and history, hoping to one day solve all of the world's problems. Julia attended Dakota High School, participating in MUN for 3 years . After participating in MeDMUN I and II as a delegate, Julia decided to join the MeDMUN III staff as a moderator for the Ad-Hoc committee. Due to her experience as a delegate, President of Dakota's Model UN team, and staffing experiences for MeDMUN and MUNUM, Julia feels confident that she will be able to ensure that MeDMUN IV will an educational experience for all delegates. When she's not planning for MeDMUN IV, Julia enjoys traveling, reading, and playing with her dog/any dog.
Undersecretary General of the General Assemblies
Chris Poiner has been serving as Undersecretary General of the General Assemblies for MeDMUN III and IV. He is a senior at Ferris State University where he is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Health Care Systems Administration and minors in Spanish and Public Health. When he is not in class or doing homework you can find him running, working out in the gym, exploring the woods of Big Rapids, playing Frisbee, participating in his campus ministry group, or practicing guitar. However, if he is at home you will most likely find him with his dog. He is looking forward to yet another successful MeDMUN conference.
Undersecretary General of the Specialized Agencies
Jordan Phillips is immensely excited to serve as the Undersecretary of the Specialized Agencies for MeDMUN IV. Jordan has been involved with MeDMUN since the first MeDMUN conference where she was a delegate working to solve the Israeli-Palestine conflict and advocate for women's rights. She is currently attending Wayne State University where she is working towards a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education. She hopes to one day be half as great as the mentors she had throughout her Model UN experience. Jordan strives to help all students have an excellent learning experience through Model UN and, if given the opportunity, she will talk about the endless list of personal and academic benefits of being a delegate. Jordan spends a large amount of her time playing with her dogs and taking perfect pictures of them to share on social media. When she's not with her furry friends, you can probably find her binge-watching Netflix, reading, or working as your local barista. Jordan is looking forward to working towards building a strong and enjoyable Model UN experience for all in the coming conference.
Perry Lee is super excited to serve on the Secretariat for MeDMUN IV. Perry attends the University of Michigan where he is majoring in computer science with a minor in mathematics. In his quest to find an interesting and fulfilling career in (theoretical?) computer science, Perry has crashed the school computers (on more than one occasion), broken the laws of physics, written several thousands of lines of code that doesn't work, added 0+0 to get 1, and slain a hydra. Perry plays trumpet in the Michigan Pops Orchestra and also enjoys taking long walks around Ann Arbor and engaging in intense staring contests with the squirrels on campus.
