Shubhnit Gupta is currently a senior at Walled Lake Western High School, but will be attending the Broads College of Business next year (fall 2017) at Michigan State University. He has been in Model UN for the last 3 years and it has been one his favorite high school experiences. He is extremely excited to be on the Crisis Staff for MeDMUN IV. Shubhnit enjoys Model UN as has given him the opportunity to meet new people and work closely with like minded peers.
Tom McBride is currently living the dream at Oakland Community College. Along with a few other intrepid nerds he (re)founded the Model UN Club at Walled Lake Western during the Fall of 2009. As Crisis Director of the Ad-Hoc, Tom looks forward to living out his dreams as a politico of moderate international value. As a student of international affairs, when not trolling ISIS sympathizers on Twitter, he can often be found procrastinating on blog posts and applying to universities in the Middle East.
Habeba Elmadawy is a graduate of Walled Lake Western and will most likely be attending Wayne State University and pursuing a double major in public health and biology. She will be on the crisis staff which she is SUPER excited about! Crises are always her favorite part of any MUN conferences because being put under pressure and not really knowing what's coming is really fun. She is really excited to be staffing a conference for the first time, especially MeDMUN since it's a great beginner conference. Other than Model UN, she is involved in many clubs such as Women's Empowerment, SADD, NHS, and Student Council. Otherwise, she just works and takes OCC classes, which basically takes care of all of her free time.
Dominic Fournier is extremely excited to crisis staff, and can't wait to see the great ideas delegates bring to the negotiating table. Dominic attended Dakota High School and was the Prime Minister of DMUN (Dakota Model UN.) In addition to Model UN, Dominic was an active member in his schools stage crew, serving as primary light designer and stage manager. Most of Dominic's free time is spent either working in the theatre, working at his other job as a pyrotechnician, or reading (mostly historical non-fiction, and occasionally historical fiction.) Dominic intends to attend Oakland university next year, with a major in International Affairs with a double minor in Arabic and French. I can be contacted at email@example.com if you have any inquiries.
Emily Wittman is currently a senior at Walled Lake Western High School and is undecided on which university she will attend in the Fall. However, she is interested in pursuing a degree in International Relations or Political Science with a minor in US History or Photography. Emily has been a part of Model UN for three years and is the current Vice President of Western's Model UN Club, and was previously the PR Director. She was on the crisis staff for MeDMUN 2017 and is excited to be returning to the crisis room once again! She enjoys crises because she finds that they are the true test of a delegates abilities because they must make the most of the resources they are provided with in a high-pressure situation. In her free time, Emily enjoys watching her favorite TV shows and films, going to concerts, enjoying Michigan's finest cuisine, traveling, spending time with her closest friends, and keeping up with the latest political happenings.
Jehan Bugli is currently a senior at Walled Lake Western. He has been engaged in Model United Nations since his sophomore year at Walled Lake Western High School, and he is excited to be part of the conference staff for the first time. Crises are the most challenging and interesting types of Model U.N. committees, and as a part of the crisis staff he looks forward to testing the mettle of the MeDMUN IV delegates.
Alexander Dawisha, or Alex for short, is a senior at Walled Lake Western, and will be going to Michigan State University in the fall of 2017 to study IT with a minor in International Relations. He is part of the Crisis Staff, and he is very excited to be a part of it. He personally believe that the crises are the best part of any Model UN conference because they test your ability to think on your feet and solve complex problems. As far as fun facts about himself, he is semi-fluent in French and can speak a little Chaldean and Arabic. In his spare time he is writing a story, and enjoys playing video games with his friends. (he is also pretty great at impersonations).
Nicklas is a senior at Haslett High School and will be attending University of Michigan Ann Arbor in the fall of 2017 to study History. He has been a member of Haslett MUN since it started his junior year, but this will be his first time working a compeition. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Dixit Yearbook and a huge design nerd, so watch your kerning. In his spare time he runs a D&D campaign of his own creation. He loves the Dresden Files, Magic: The Gathering, and, guiltily, CW's The Flash.
